CCAD is seeking instructors for its Spring 2022 Saturday Morning Art Classes. Instructors for this long-running program thrive in creative spaces with young and lifelong learners, and are committed to delivering inclusive and equitable curriculum.


Instructors are required to

  1. Serve as the primary instructor for all scheduled classes
  2. Deliver high-quality, well-planned art and design instruction that is appropriately scoped to student skill level
  3. Prepare and submit a syllabus to the Director of Youth & Community Learning by stated deadlines, and revise as directed
  4. Plan and enact class periods effectively
  5. Attend all orientation and training sessions
  6. Exercise appropriate classroom management, interventions, and support as needed
  7. Keep accurate attendance records via Enrollsy, our classroom management system
  8. Support at student dropoff and pickup as directed
  9. Communicate clearly and regularly with the Director of Youth & Community Learning and student families as appropriate
  10. Facilitate and collaborate around end-of-term celebratory exhibition of student work
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned

Instructors are paid $1050 per course, and are required to be present for all Saturdays from January 29 to April 9 (except March 19) from 830 AM to 12:00 PM (classes run 9 AM to 11:30 AM). We are currently offering a jewelry workshop, which will meet on February 5, 2022, February 19, 2022, and March 5, 2022. The instructor for this three-time workshop will be paid $315 total.
