CCAD is seeking a professional who enjoys fast-paced roles, can work independently with little supervision, is a critical thinker, and has the ability to multi-task to fill this role. SUMMARY

The Professional Studies Coordinator is an essential part of a small team dedicated to providing professional development and lifelong learning opportunities in art and design at CCAD. The ideal candidate relishes opportunities to create, streamline, implement, and sustain efficient workflows. They take pride in facilitating welcoming and frictionless experiences with CCAD programming. And they enjoy directly interacting with students, alumni, and the creative community across the ways art and design education inspire and transform creative professionals at any stage of their career.

This position is a hybrid of in-person and remote work, M-F 8:30am-5pm, with some weekend or evening duties tied to events periodically required. The hybrid status of this position is subject to change based on the shifting needs of the college.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following and other duties as assigned:

Professional Studies

  • Coordination of professional program participant enrollment, including both direct customer service and online enrollment system management
  • Maintenance of professional program student records, including the creation of dissemination of regular enrollment and record reports to key stakeholders
  • Support of Director of Career Education in scheduling and preparing classrooms for professional studies classes, workshops, events, training sessions, and bootcamps
  • Manage instructor agreements
  • Support of Director of Career Education in supply ordering, tracking, and management
  • Coordination of Professional Studies marketing efforts, including simple content creation and population of social media accounts and other approaches in alignment with CCAD's marketing and communications department.

Master of Professional Studies

  • Serve as point of contact for Master of Professional Studies student registration queries, especially around enrollment in electives
  • Provide support for student orientation planning and activities
  • Primary management of MPS events, including networking events, guest speakers , and "CCAD Knows" webinar series, including contract management, travel coordination, scheduling, and day-of-event facilitation
  • Occasionally may need to be present for off-campus events

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1-3 Student workers

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Ability to organize, manage, and populate social media accounts
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft suite, Google suite, Adobe suite as well as willingness to learn new programs
  • Resourceful, self-directed, proactive, detail oriented, and deadline driven work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
  • Three years of administrative support, higher education or arts organization preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


  • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The pace of the work environment is moderate to fast.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

COMPENSATION: This position is full-time, non-exempt. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications. CCAD offers a benefits package including: vacation time, additional paid time off while the college is closed during winter break, sick time accrual, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, campus parking, and free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art.
