SUMMARY:
The MindMarket Operations Project Manager will manage the operational aspects of connecting external partners and client projects with academic programs by supporting creative experiences for students to work with industry partners through projects and serving as the center for managing sponsored partnerships. The Operations Project Manager will possess both administrative and project managerial expertise needed to manage client projects and support faculty leads in managing the budget, progress of project, and preparing reports regarding status updates. This position reports to the Provost and as of August 2019 to the Dean of Graduate Studies. Being a team player who is passionate about creative entrepreneurship and education is a must.

- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience utilizing process management software (client, project, & accounting)
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and a diverse public
- Strong ability to work independently and manage student staff and volunteers
- Ability to collaborate with CCAD's Marketing and Communications team to populate social media accounts and website with MindMarket Content
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain innovative and efficient administrative systems and operations for the MindMarket
- Work collaboratively with academic leaders, faculty, and administration including Advancement and Marketing & Communication to ensure that MindMarket is central to Columbus College of Art & Design's strategic initiatives
- Create and maintain schedules; initiate and route projects through the department and college in an efficient and effective manner
- Act as liaison/point of contact with all college departments regarding MindMarket operations
- Collaborate with academic programs to ensure that proposed partnerships meet required learning goals, and project objectives are aligned with program, college goals
- Attend and participate in meetings between external clients, deans, chairs, faculty, and/or advancement personnel to discuss potential partnerships, possible project deliverables, and timeline
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Work with faculty lead(s) and appropriate dean to establish a budget for partnership prior to the development of the MOU
- Coordinate the development and approval of the MOU and all other contractual agreements including but not limited to IP and confidentiality agreements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable; double check all paperwork, collect additional information where needed, communicate with Business Office regarding payment with vendors and customers, conduct deposits of cash and checks as well as track project budgets; send invoices and collect payments
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Provide regular reports to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction
- Develop, track, and manage an annual budget overseeing costing, purchasing, and invoicing
- Manage and maintain databases according to best practices
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs and monitor outcomes
- Oversee the documentation completed within departments, by assigned documentarian for the project, and by the college's photographer and ensure that viable images, content, and details about projects are provided to Marketing & Communications in agreed upon timeline
- Manage and evaluate processes and project performance annually to ensure that we are providing the best service internally and externally
- Facilitate new business development opportunities and support faculty and programs in making new connections and in building deep relationships with for-profit and non-profit partners
- Field inquires regarding MindMarket space rental and work with Rentals as needed
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study (marketing, business or related field) or equivalent work experience in project management
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed project schedules, plans, and/or programs
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
- Positive attitude, flexible, works well under pressure
- Strong time management skills
- Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with team members
- Intense desire to excel in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment.
- Demonstrates initiative; is proactive
- Experience in a corporate setting and in higher education a plus
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus

- The employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear

- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
- Occasional travel may be required
- A valid driver's license and exemplary driving record
