Drupal Freelance Developer 

CCAD is looking for a part-time, long-term Drupal Backend Freelance Developer to join our team of talented developers, designers, and strategists. CCAD is one of the nation's top private art and design colleges, and we've been leading the way in educating a diverse group of talented students for 140 years. 

Responsibilities 

The role includes work on backend application development of large scale Drupal websites, architecting elegant solutions to client problems using the right mix of community modules and custom modules, developing new custom and community modules, and provide continued support for content development. 

Ability to collaborate in person and remotely with our marketing and IT team is paramount to success in this role. The developer is expected to respond to tickets through project management tools and will work with the Product Owner and developer team to solve issues.  Agile experience, understanding Atlassian products, including Jira, good communication skills, and experience in higher education are a plus. 

Experience with Drupal Development

• Experienced with the Drupal API developing custom modules and plugins in Drupal 8 
• Experienced in object-oriented PHP
• Experience with Composer 
• Strong experience in Git development workflows and patching
• Familiarity with Linux command line and CLI tools
• Ability to work successfully both individually and with team members on problems, as required by the project.
• Designing and developing code architecture that promotes reuse, readability, and best-practice coding standards.
• Leverage front-end style guides and pattern libraries.
• Experience deploying Drupal sites and pushing code changes.
