Columbus College of Art & Design is looking for someone like you to fill our new Digital Marketing Coordinator role. You'll have an opportunity to collaborate college-wide to showcase the incredible art and design that our diverse group of students, faculty, and alumni produce, while working closely with an amazing team of professionals in the college's Marketing & Communications department.

SUMMARY

Reporting to and supporting the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for CCAD's social media marketing, email marketing, data reporting, video marketing, and reputation management, and will serve to represent the CCAD brand to internal and external constituents. The Digital Marketing Coordinator will work with the Marketing & Communications team to deliver upon the college's strategic goals, including ensuring that Intentional Inclusivity (and DEI initiatives) and Creative Collaboration are at the core of our brand. In addition, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will be a strong partner to other key college stakeholders ensuring that CCAD's departments and offerings are represented and communicated through our social media channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

Social Media Marketing


  • Writes and executes campaigns, engages with internal and external stakeholders, such as partners, donors, and sponsors.
  • Research new social media tools trends for potential use.
  • Monitors CCAD's social media accounts and strategically engages with constituents to build the CCAD brand.
  • Works with the Director of Marketing to develop social media distribution strategies and calendars for institutional accounts.
  • Executes tasks related to CCAD's Editorial Calendar and other communications plans.
  • Generates content that builds meaningful connections.
  • Provides in-the-moment social media coverage of major CCAD events.
  • Executes internal social media advertising campaigns.

Email Marketing

  • Builds emails, ensures that email lists are optimized and perform well, and circulates drafts to stakeholders in a timely and organized manner.

  • Builds and maintains email frequency calendars within Asana.
  • Executes A/B testing for subject lines, and reports on open rates to the Marketing & Communications team for optimization of content and headlines.

Data Support

  • Has a basic working knowledge of Google Analytics and can provide reports on page views, source, and goal completions.
  • Creates UTM tags as needed for advertising initiatives, enrollment initiatives, and QR codes.
  • Requests analytics from CCAD departments for Marketing & Communications campaign interpretation.
  • Pulls social media, website, video, and email data as requested and assists the Director of Marketing with high level reports on goals.

Video Marketing

  • Posts CCAD videos on social media accounts as appropriate. (This includes but is not limited to YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.)
  • Optimizes copy to ensure videos are optimized for YouTube and other video sites, and that SEO best practices are observed.
  • Implements social media campaigns to draw attention to CCAD video content.

Reputation Management

  • Actively takes part in social listening.
  • Engages with constituents who have problems or questions, and quickly works to get them to the appropriate person to address.
  • Reports on reputational issues that show up online.
  • Responds to crises and incidents as necessary with message coordination from the Director of Communications and VP for Marketing & Communications.
  • Monitors social media for issues on nights and weekends.
  • Manages Google Business account as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in running social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Experience in interpreting data from email tools, social media platforms, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience in building and executing email campaigns.
  • Experience in optimizing digital content for SEO purposes.
  • Demonstrated experience in decision making, direct communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, timeliness, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven experience in operating in high stress situations while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience in Adobe CC products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related fields is required; Master's in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is preferable.
  • Experience in higher education is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years in digital marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of project management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand: walk: and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional travel may be required to attend off campus events, conferences, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.




COMPENSATION: This position is full-time, exempt. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications. CCAD offers a benefits package including: vacation time, additional paid time off while the college is closed during winter break, sick time accrual, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, campus parking, and free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art.
