Creative Summer Workshop Instructor
Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) is seeking instructors for its Summer 2026 youth and adult education offerings for students in 1st through 12th grade and adults. Positions are available for up to six, one-week instruction periods set between June 1, 2026 and July 17, 2026. For each one-week period an instructor is hired, they will teach a three hour session during five consecutive weekdays. Instructors are paid $650 per class. Applicants will see that there are morning and afternoon options available and should indicate if they prefer either or both time periods. Instructors are required to:
- Serve as the primary instructor for all scheduled classes
- Deliver high-quality, well-planned art and design instruction that is appropriately scoped to student skill level
- Prepare and submit a syllabus to the Director of Youth & Community Learning by stated deadlines, and revise as directed
- Plan and enact class periods effectively
- Attend all orientation and training sessions
- Exercise appropriate classroom management, interventions, and support as needed
- Keep accurate attendance records via Enrollsy, our classroom management system
- Support at student dropoff and pickup as directed
- Communicate clearly and regularly with the Youth & Community Learning director and staff as well as students and their families as appropriate
- Ensure that classroom and studio spaces are cleaned prior to leaving
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Adhere to all CCAD health and safety standards
