CCAD's Development department is seeking a professional who enjoys fast-paced roles, can work independently with little supervision, is a critical thinker, and has the ability to multi-task to fill this role. The Development staff is a highly collaborative and cohesive team, providing a wide range of high-quality services throughout the campus. SUMMARY

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) for Development and is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive alumni engagement and communications strategy, aligned with the college's strategic plan. This position will serve as the primary relationship manager between alumni and the college with responsibilities to design and deliver effective engagement strategies across all stages of the student-to-alumni life-cycle. This includes communicating, sharing, and building awareness of current and new CCAD programs and initiatives to help build, maintain, and improve relationships and create opportunities for alumni involvement. This position will identify and respond to alumni needs and interests, and manage regular communications to the alumni community through email marketing and social media platforms. The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will also work closely with the Development Team to establish best practices and strategies for alumni giving, and will direct alumni engagement through special events and programming.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate college-wide efforts to "activate alumni" through lifelong learning, connectivity, and celebration, as detailed in the college's strategic plan
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and multi-year plan for alumni engagement that aligns with the college's strategic goals
  • Develop and manage an Alumni Advisory Board to strengthen connections between alumni, the college, and one another
  • Develop and manage CCAD's Alumni Mentoring Program that connects current students with alumni
  • Manage and plan all alumni-related events, including virtual and in-person events, as well as local, regional and out of state events in collaboration with the AVP for Development
  • Serve on committees for large campus events with alumni components, including but not limited to Commencement, Chroma, and Art Fair
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to direct consistent communication strategies for alumni, increase alumni engagement through communications, and cultivate media attention about alumni success
  • Collaborate with the Career Services Office to identify opportunities for alumni to connect with current students and assist with the school-to-career pipeline
  • Collaborate with the Student Engagement & Inclusion Office to identify opportunities for alumni to connect with current students through student-focused events and programming
  • Serve as the college's primary representative for all alumni-related inquiries and requests, and remain knowledgeable and current on all CCAD programs and plans, as well as student offerings and faculty to effectively represent the college to the alumni community
  • Manage the CCAD alumni email address and CCAD alumni social media accounts; respond to concerns and inquiries arising from these accounts in a timely and professional manner
  • Coordinate alumni benefits and programming on an annual basis and make recommendations for additional benefits based on alumni feedback and best practices
  • Manage the Alumni Engagement budget and forecast future budget needs to meet alumni outreach goals
  • Use verifiable assessment strategies to regularly measure key performance indicators of alumni engagement, and provide recommendations to senior leadership about the college's opportunities to deepen alumni engagement
  • Develop and manage content for all alumni web pages
  • Document all communications with alumni and assist in keeping alumni records up-to-date in Raiser's Edge
  • Collaborate closely with the Development Team to develop best practices and strategies for alumni giving and stewardship
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university (preferably from CCAD).
  • Work experience in higher education is desired.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand: walk: and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.


COMPENSATION: This position is full-time, exempt. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications. CCAD offers a benefits package including: vacation time, additional paid time off while the college is closed during winter break, sick time accrual, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, campus parking, and free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art.
