SUMMARY

CCAD is seeking an innovative and collaborative Communications Coordinator. As a member of the Enrollment Management team, this role reports to the Director of Undergraduate Admission, with support from the Director of Graduate Admission. This role will have primary responsibility for analyzing current practices, exploring and improving all communication in the Admission CRM (Slate) and creating a robust user experience for prospective students, both undergraduate and graduate, this role will also support communications for school counselors and community members. The Communications Coordinator will work both collaboratively to determine best practices and efficiency, assisting and supporting the communication and operation needs of the Enrollment Division. This position focuses on email marketing, text communications, secondary print materials, and subsequent enrollment communications.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Communication/Communication Planning

  • Collaborates with the undergraduate, graduate, operations, marketing and communication teams to review and develop communication and content regularly; leads the development and implementation the enrollment communication strategy
  • Assists with query building and population maintenance in all outgoing communications; collaborates with the Slate Administrator to develop email and campaign templates and portal updates
  • Primary developer of recruitment and promotional content and copy within the admission CRM (Slate); manage inventory for print and all other promotional materials
  • Key stakeholder and champion for the institution brand within enrollment communication
  • Assists with development of other enrollment materials, such as letters, postcards and other print materials
  • Analyze current communications and data within CRM to recommend additional messages for prospective student engagement and conversion

Content Management



  • Communicates with web management to ensure all enrollment (admission and financial aid) web pages are current and updated
  • Creates reports on Slate communication metrics and visit experience surveys for senior leadership
  • Collaborates with key department and campus partners as it relates to communication development (faculty, campus resources, etc.)
  • Assists with university and department social media content development and management

Data/Market Analysis


  • Attends conferences, explores webinars, forums, and all available Slate/CRM resources to identify and implement best practices.
  • Assists in evaluating current processes, practices and workflows to determine more efficient and effective ways to engage throughout the enrollment funnel
  • Other duties as assigned



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and be effective in oral, written and electronic communications.
  • Ability to learn multiple software tools to perform duties, and ability to adapt to new software tools as they are implemented by Admissions and Marketing (preferably Slate experience)
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set own priorities to coordinate multiple assignments with fluctuating and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Occasional weekend and evening availability required



Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors' degree (preferably in marketing, communication or visual arts)
  • 1 to 3 years' experience (preferably in enrollment management, marketing and communication or higher education)
  • Experience with e-marketing and utilizing data analytics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The pace of the work environment is moderate to fast.



COMPENSATION: This position is full-time, exempt. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications. CCAD offers a benefits package including: vacation time, additional paid time off while the college is closed during winter break, sick time accrual, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 403B retirement contribution, tuition remission, free campus parking, and free admission to the Columbus Museum of Art.
