The Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) seeks a part-time instructor to teach Physics and/or Scientific Applications for Artists for the Spring Semester starting on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. LIBA2459: Scientific Applications will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:45 PM in our Science Classroom. This course covers physical and biological sciences through areas of interest for artists and designers. Topics include sensation, the physics of light and color, chemical formulas and hazards, and other applications of scientific concepts and methods. LIBA2456: Physics & Its Applications will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 to 10:45 AM in our Science Classroom. This quantitative science-based course covers the nature and properties of matter and energy, including experiments and assignments investigating laws and fundamental principles, as well as applications in design. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in teaching physics and other sciences at the college level, especially in a similar learning community. Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time Qualifications: Terminal degree in related field required. Previous teaching experience in science or a related field preferred.
