Columbus College of Art & Design invites applicants for adjunct instructors in its two Master of Professional Studies (MPS) programs, which include Retail Design and User Experience (UX) Design program, to teach one or more required courses in the Spring 2024 semester (January 2024-May 2024). We are seeking individuals with experience in either or both of the retail or UX design fields, and who have a passion for supporting the next generation of designers, strategists, managers and leaders.

ABOUT THE MASTER OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES PROGRAMS: The two disciplinary program in the MPS suite focus on training and professionalizing the next generation of designers. Using a multidisciplinary approach, the programs emphasize the effective and ethical use of business and consumer research practice, data usage, and design process and execution. Both the Retail Design and the UX Design programs are consumer-centric and channel-agnostic, and focus on training and supporting human-centered individuals who are re-skilling or up-skilled from other business and human-centric areas of business. In that spirit, the program will develop students' creativity and innovation skills in the service of business and market needs, exposing students to proven processes, practices and designs from the world's leading industry verticals and/or retailers,

ABOUT THE COURSES: Each of the courses in the MPS Programs focus on practical knowledge and hands-on training in real-world design processes, methods and tools, as used in the retail design and UX design industries. We seek professionals holding either a relevant Master degree or Doctoral degree and an industry background in one or both of retail design or UX design,

Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time


Qualifications: Requires both a Bachelors and a Masters or PHD plus relevant professional experience. Teaching experience is preferred but not required.
