Adjunct Instructor- History of Comics and Illustration
The Columbus College of Art & Design [CCAD] is seeking a Part Time Adjunct Instructor for our History of Art & Visual Culture department to teach History of Comics and Illustration beginning in the SPRING 2025 semester.
Course Details: History of Comics and Illustration will introduce first year students to the history of Comics and Illustration through lectures, discussions, projects, and assignments. Featuring research, writing, presentations and projects, various thematic topics will be explored such as historic comic strips, graphic novels, book illustration, print media, sequential art, and graphic art. The course will engage lecture, discussion, projects, activities of critical inquiry, observation, analysis, research, and writing to hone aesthetic vocabulary and communication skills, as well as provide a foundation in the history of the disciplines.
Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time
Qualifications: A Masters degree in art or design history is required and previous teaching experience preferred.
