Adjunct Instructor, Art Therapy

The Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) is seeking a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor for Introduction to Art Therapy in the Department of Science and Social Science beginning in Fall 2021 semester. CCAD's campus is a vital and growing "urban learning village" of 1,100 students located in downtown Columbus, a smart, open, and growing city with a metro-area population of 1.4 million. Offering BFA and MFA degrees, the College, as a matter of values and practice, focuses on the development of applied creative thinkers.

Course Description: Introduction to Art Therapy addresses developmental stages of art, art therapy assessments and related clinical matters, and invites students to explore personal symbolisms through art. Although emphasis will vary according to instructor, history, theory, and methods of art therapy will be considered, with a focus on applications in the creative practices of artists and designers.

Position: Adjunct Instructor, part-time

Qualifications: Enrollment in or completion of a Master's Degree in Art Therapy or Counseling and related fields with a focus on art therapy is required. Previous undergraduate teaching experience and maintenance of professional licensure are preferred.
